I don’t know how many times I’ve been asked if I do photography full time. I don’t mind the question, I just always feel a little nervous sharing with new clients that I only do it part time. I guess I don’t want my clients thinking that because I have two jobs, I’m not able to go full time as a photographer. I intentionally set it up this way. I am the kind of person who NEEDS variety in my life (maybe it’s the creative in me…). I do my best work when I can spend time renovating my home, nannying a beautiful little girl (whom I love very much), and focusing on photography during the weekends. Life is just so much sweeter and fuller this way for me.
My nannying job is such a big part of my life (honestly, I really don’t like calling it a “job” even) and because of that I want to share a few images of this sweet baby girl, Sophia who has blessed my life in so many ways. I have been with her since she was born. She gives me so much happiness. She has been my very best little friend, and I can honestly say I always want to go to “work” because she brings my life so much joy. Really, everyone should just become a nanny (of course, it helps to “work” for an absolutely wonderful family like I do) because it’s truly rewarding. Many of you who follow my Facebook page, have seen many pictures of this sweetie. But here are a few of my favorites. Isn’t she perfect? Yes, yes she is.

What a beautiful gift God has given you to be able to invest in the life of this little one. I know that if I could not be with my child all the time I would WANT YOU for a Nanny. You are not only creative but know the balance of what a loving, gentle, happy and healthy relationship is to look like with this sweet little child. You have learned a lot in the many hours you spent working at the church with all the different age groups and have these past years been working on perfecting that gift with her. What a great Mom you will be when God chooses to give you your own. But until then and beyond I am thankful you are doing what you love, and are blessing a sweet young family with taking such good care of the most precious little person that is their little angel. Klare Popejoy- I have you to thank for raising such a wonderful woman that I can trust to take care of the most important baby in my life. Your influence is very apparent in Renee and we often talk about how we had very similar childhoods. It’s a pleasure to have your daughter as one of our family members and hope that one day she will be at Sophia’s wedding. She’s been such a big part of her life since she was born and we wouldn’t have it any other way. You should be very proud!
